i think the official mailing list debian-handbook-translators at l.a.d.o
did not exist on 2012-05-13, as well as files README.git and
README.translators in the repository.

if necessary, i can, of course, delete the mailing list and the repo.
but since i took over the coordination of the russian translation, for
me it would be easier to accumulate translations in a separate
repository and provide them to the upstream in a convenient for you
form.
