[debian-lan-devel] Need a new hook to give host a name that does not come from dns/dhcp

Would it be possible to add the 'mainserver' statically in
'dhcpd.conf'?  The machine should get the correct hostname in that
case and anything should work - or do I miss something here?

I have to check if it is possible to use the hostname= from the
command line as HOSTNAME, how are these variables related?
