+HyPhy for Debian
+================
+
+Debian provides HyPhy split over different binary packages.
+
+In the package hyphygui there is the GTK+ user interface.
+
+There are two command line versions depending from your hardware
+you can use
+
+ hyphy-mp - executable (hyphymp) using pthreads to do multiprocessing
+ hyphy-mpi - executable (hyphympi) using MPI to do multiprocessing
+
+Moreover the Python modules are packaged for Python and Python3.
+An example for the usage is provided in
+
+   /usr/share/doc/python[3]-hyphy/examples/Python
+
