I can confirm that I'm parsing them when I try to contact upstream. :-)
Hint: I personally stick to the format which people agreed upon (policy,
developers reference, DEPx) which has preference over something which is
mentioned on some Wiki page (like debian/upstream). Because I really
hate duplication of data which just drains time I will not add fields
like Homepage, Watch, Name, Contact to debian/upstream. I'm fine if
others are doing the copying, but my point is that once the majority of
developers might be convinced to move those upstream data which do have
their tradictional location are better assembled somewhere else, an
automatic job could very easily do the translation. I have severe doubt
that it is convincing to others do carry copies of the same data around
at different places with no visible additional benefit. On the other
hand I really like the gathering of additional data like Webservice,
Donation and Registration which I intend to use in the web sentinel as
well in the future.
