Also: synopses don't need an initial capital letter, and no
dictionaries I can find believe in the word "prescriptor" (though I
suppose it might be jargon known only to the kind of specialists who'd
want this package).

A set of applicationS, plural.

As opposed to their previous practice? Maybe this should say
something like "day-to-day".

No such word, again.

The verb is "to create", and you mean plural "prescriptions".

Well, I'd probably say it makes sense to talk about a software project
consisting of software... so I'd suggest using the ambiguous word
"provides".

Or:
Description: pharmaceutical prescription and interaction manager
The FreeMedForms project provides a set of medical applications to help
health professionals in their day-to-day practice. It is developed by an
international community of medical doctors and computer specialists.
      .
FreeDiams is a pharmaceutical drug prescription assistant which can be
used to create complex prescriptions and to handle drug interactions.
