You need to start a new version if the former version was uploaded but
it remained "UNRELEASED".  As I said:  If the old changelog might have
any value for the moment it is no problem to leave it here.  If it is
just for the history of packaging - we have all history in VCS.

While it is OK to do the first test builds under stable you finally need
to build it in an unstable chroot which is very simply created by
pbuilder.  It was one of the first tasks for Luis to create a pbuilder
environment. :-)

Fine.  I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone here in VCS
... :-)

[amul:3] I fixed the control and compat files. I'm leaving the changelog as is for now.

[amul:3] Luis gave me the steps to get the build working, but I missed the latest release note in the last commit. I think debuild will be happy once I get that checked in.

[amul:3] If debuild is happy, pbuilder here I come!
