So the package did not build without this Build-Depends?

Well, we could upload even without the open - close procedure.  In
general it is a good idea to teach your users to file a bug report
immediately but if a problem is just solved I would spare the work with
the ticket.  Finally its a matter of taste (and I was just expressing
my personal taste here).

Should I upload the current status or do you plan further changes.
