I would like to make you aware that I needed to exclude three tests.

I think the fact that the package builded *without* the patch
successfully on an amd64 machine under Debian unstable until
Fri, 29 Nov 2013 11:39:01 +0100 (package version 1.4.1-2) but
stoped building later without these three patches should be
interesting for you as upstream. May be something might be
wrong with more recent gcc / libs????
Is there any way to run the test suite with the installed binaries
in a dedicated manner to not always need to run the longish and
exhausting build process?
