I'd like to chime in that 

   grep -R QXcb *

in the according directory does not yield any results on my
installation, and the plug-ins are installed. 

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what the according cmake code in
ITK-SNAP tries to achieve - it looks up  the location of the plug-ins
and then this location is used as install target to install the plugins
again?

As I pointed out before, the project compiles and links fine without
these - see the last snip of the patch I sent before.
