[Debian-med-packaging] uscan not downloading new upstream version of bowtie2

Hi All,

I am facing a strange issue with uscan.

here is the output:

the problem as far as I see is that the file is not downloaded.

If i try to get it with wget then I see a number of redirects before the 
download:
