Hmmm, after checking out the pll folder it seems this is just a code
copy of

    http://www.libpll.org/

If this is the case the correct way to deal with this is packaging
libpll separately and link iq-tree against this library - at least
in the long run.

For the moment I can confirm that the current status in Git builds on a
Debian system.  It would be nice if you tag it as new release.  I will
try to package libpll as well and once it is done I'll come up with a
suggestion to separate the code copy.
