Good morning Andreas,

regarding pritine-tar, this command can be run from anywhere, since the tag
determines the point of comparison, not the current branch.

It is quite confusing that, if you run the command while having the
pristine-tar checked out, the committed files will not appear in the current
directory.  However, if you checkout another branch and then pristine-tar
again, you will see the files.

While this looks complicated, the take home message is simple: anywhere is OK.
