The simple fix for the watch file was s/gz$/xz/.  I've updated the package.

Seems you are the last man standing on sourceforge.  Interesting that active
developers are not yet moved to git{hub,lab}  these days.  BTW, the download
tarball always contains pretty superflous autom4te.cache/ dir which should
be removed - possibly also without config.guess, config.status and config.h.in~
- maybe even without configure and all the auto-generated stuff.
