Hi,

I'm looking at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1095092 
; I've fixed that particular bug, but I get another FTBFS that I tracked 
down to https://github.com/pycroscopy/pyUSID/issues/90

However, pyUSID's homepage states that "Note - As of 2020, pyUSID has 
transitioned to maintenance mode.", so I'm not sure that bug will get fixed.

In case upstream doesn't fix the bug, would anyone have a look at it? 
Alternately, how about dropping the dependency on pyUSID to allow 
rosettasciio to migrate to trixie?
