Agreed, this is also hard to test right now while we only have one
supported Python in unstable.

I actually noticed this issue in Ubuntu now, while rebuilding packages
for 3.14, but I see this same issue came up in Debian previously,
while rebuilding packages for 3.13, and was reported as bug #1089634
[1].
It was marked fixed in 0.7.1-2, but what was fixed is not clear to me.
