Package: libelmer-dev

Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'squeeze'.
It installed fine in 'squeeze', then the upgrade to 'sid' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a
replaces relation.

See policy 7.6 at
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Preparing to replace libelmer-dev 5.5.0.svn.4499.dfsg-1 (using .../libelmer-dev_6.1.0.svn.5396.dfsg-4_amd64.deb) ...
  Unpacking replacement libelmer-dev ...
  dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libelmer-dev_6.1.0.svn.5396.dfsg-4_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/elmerf90', which is also in package elmer 5.5.0.svn.4499.dfsg-1

cheers,

Andreas
