Fwd: PDL package update request (who is appropriate POC?)

Thanks for the quick response, Andreas.

We're planning a new PDL-2.016 release by the end of
May but as far as Debian packaging goes, nothing will
change from PDL-2.015 to PDL-2.16 compared to the
current debian/ directory in the PDL distribution.

I reviewed the contents of that folder and it seems
to have the pieces needed to package things for a
Debian release but I'm not running on a Debian system
and there are no instructions for the build/release
process.

The PDL-2.016 release candidate 1 is available from
CPAN at http://search.cpan.org/~chm/PDL-2.015_001/ and
you can download the tarball from the Download link:

http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/C/CH/CHM/PDL-2.015_001.tar.gz

In the top level of the PDL-2.015_001/ folder which
will result from untar-ing the distribution file you
will see a debian/ folder with the contents from
Henning Glawes previous work.

I'm very willing to help out from the PDL/perl side of
things if you could find an experienced Debian
science maintainer to try things out. I don't want
to blindly start editing without knowing how things
work. If we can get the process bootstrapped, I can
see about finding a new maintainer (maybe me if I can
install a Debian unix for development).

Cheers,
Chris
