From your question I deduce that you are not very well versed with all
the fringes of debian packaging, and in particular with what by all
means is one of crucial pieces (the copyright file).

I also suppose you have read the relevant documentation of it, IOW
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/
If you haven't (as I suspect) I encurage you to read it fully, it's a
short read anyway.
