Note: The "dcl" package (which I put in the affects) behaves in a very
particular way:
- On systems with only one CPU, tried a lot of times, it builds ok.
- On systems with 2 CPUs, tried also a lot of times, it fails to build in this way:
dh_missing: warning: usr/include/vst_interface.mod exists in debian/tmp but is not installed to anywhere
dh_missing: warning: usr/include/xfc_interface.mod exists in debian/tmp but is not installed to anywhere
dh_missing: error: missing files, aborting
The following debhelper tools have reported what they installed (with files per package)
* dh_install: dcl-f77 (0), dcl-f77-docs (3), fonts-dclfonts (4), libf77dcl-dev (5), libf77dcl7 (3)
* dh_installdocs: dcl-f77 (1), dcl-f77-docs (1), fonts-dclfonts (1), libf77dcl-dev (1), libf77dcl7 (1)
* dh_installman: dcl-f77 (0), dcl-f77-docs (0), fonts-dclfonts (0), libf77dcl-dev (2), libf77dcl7 (0)
If the missing files are installed by another tool, please file a bug against it.
When filing the report, if the tool is not part of debhelper itself, please reference the
"Logging helpers and dh_missing" section from the "PROGRAMMING" guide for debhelper (10.6.3+).
(in the debhelper package: /usr/share/doc/debhelper/PROGRAMMING.md.gz)
Be sure to test with dpkg-buildpackage -A/-B as the results may vary when only a subset is built
If the omission is intentional or no other helper can take care of this consider adding the
paths to debian/not-installed.
make: *** [debian/rules:17: binary] Error 255
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2
This erratic behaviour started happening only after the upload of
dh-fortran-mod on 2025-10-16, while the version of the "dcl" package
has not changed at all since trixie, so I believe dh-fortran-mod
is still to blame for the FTBFS issue in "dcl".
If you need a VM to reproduce this odd issue, please contact me
privately.
Thanks.
