With pyinstaller-hooks-contrib, I have the option of temporarily dropping the 
dependency on statsmodel (it is only used during testing).  I don’t usually 
like to do that, so if you think the statsmodel problem will be fixed in a 
relatively short time frame I would prefer to wait.  But if you think 
statsmodel will take a while to fix, then I can drop the dependency now and 
re-add it later.
