Why don't you just replace the docbook2html command that you need with this?

jade -t sgml -d docbook/stylesheet/dsssl/modular/html/docbook.dsl -V nochunks
foo.sgml > foo.html

I'm not defending Christian's style of handling bugs, but I agree that it
would be rather silly to break this package down into multiple packages that
are each basically one-liners.
