It is against policy to downgrade this bug because it FTBS, which is a
grave bug and downgrading will cause this broken FTBS to migrate into
sarge causing RC problems. The bug has to remain severity grave tagged
sid. I will not NMU this.

Whatever needs to be done, do it. However if solving the root cause
means that 1.2.3 stays out of Sarge, and this is not acceptible, then
something else will need to be determined.
