You are theoretically correct.
FYI: There were FTBFS bug on this package but it was labeled
sarge-ignore by the RM. I fixed it in the last upload.

Let me concentrate on what maters first please. Also I do not mind this
situation now considering pbuilder had some change...
If you do NMU with corrected description on pdebuild behavior, I am
happy.
