Since I had some problems with the svn2git conversion I tried alternatively

   gbp import-dscs --debsnap --pristine-tar debichem

This uncovered some differences in the final uploads and SVN - for instance
there are two files

    debian/debichem-modelling.postinst
    debian/debichem-modelling.prerm

which are not in the SVN repository.

I admit I do not know what svn 2 git conversion method should be given
preference. It seems Daniel has found a method that conserves tags
properly (well, I would not mind to set just 6 tags afterwards manually
but somehow the `git svn clone` method I'm using has some strange issues
and may be you comment on your preference (having an exact clone of the
SVN repository with fill commit history or having a repository featuring
all really uploaded packages).

Kind regards

     Andreas.
