IC... when I tried that first as ordinary user it didn't work. The error 
message was "Could not claim USB device" if I remember well. Yes, I was 
member of the plugdev group, load uinput, logged in again etc.

Now after rebooting (it's laptop, I switch it off when not in use), everything 
works fine, just as documented.
