I agree with that.
One of the things I didn't respond to in your original reply was the
assertion that the rpi2 isn't sufficiently free.
I trust you on that having no specific knowledge.
My goal was to say that I value availability above threats of future
I don't care about freedom of hardware as much as some people here,
although I care a lot about being accurate in what freedoms we give
users.  However I don't have an opinion about evaluating the current
freedom of rpi2 against other factors.  So my message was assuming
things that are not true.

Actually, I'd like to come back to that.  I wanted to say hey I'd like
to be able to think different things here very strongly.
Having done that, though, I wanted to thank you for helping me learn
about the availability of easily-obtained oshw devices.
I'm looking at  the ongoing discussion and probably will make an oshw
purchase to see how easy it actually is.  If it works well I would
prefer that.
