I was able to register an account at https://ikiwiki.info by clicking
on "Preferences", then under "Password login" entering a
username/password and clicking "Register". You enter an email address
on the registration page after clicking "Register". After registering
I restarted my browser (clearing cookies), navigated to the forum page,
entered the title for a new thread, clicked on "Edit" and got sent to a
login page, where I logged in via Password login (username/password),
and finally got the page with the input box for the body of the
message. After starting fresh again, it looks like if you go straight
to the forum, enter a title, and click "Edit", the resulting login page
has a "Register" button, so that may be the most direct route for you.
