I second the idea to split into separate source packages at least for
some applications and newer applications.

During the period API is not stable, we could use a strong Depends: and
Breaks: headers and upload all packages at the same time. Once the API
stabilizes (or during period API is not broken) we can do independent
updates.
In addition, I also suggest that we rename the plinth and/or plinth
applications to "freedombox-APP" or "freedombox-ui-APP". This is to
have good ability to discover these packages by users and also have also
good branding. "plinth" is not a very useful image we want to put into
people's heads.
