No it's not an issue. The 3.0  agent uses POE already.

For your information, we already depend on Crypt::SSLeay. Is Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA
a purePerl lib?

JSON/REST will remain the official protocol, I think this AMQP
alternative should
be optional, so it depends on you.
