The "Test rules engine" link at the bottom of the "Equipment import and
rules link" page may be helpful in debugging your problem. You just need
to collect and input the data it uses, like serial number, uuid and mac
from the devices that you are having problems with.
This helped me debug and modify our matching rules when I noticed
similar problems that were caused by multiple RHEV VMs all updating the
same device in GLPI because they were created from the same template and
therefore all had the same serial and uuid.
