understanding the minicom source code

hi all,
I am working on a micro-controller project and need minicom for
communication with a TNC. The problem is,the micro-controller will be
autonomous and there won't be real 'human' users to type in the minicom
commands or see the results on a monitor screen (obviously there is no
monitor). That has to be replaced by a program that understands the messages
returned by minicom and acts accordingly. The commands to minicom are also
to be simulated by a program.

To implement this, I tried to understand the minicom source code. Again, the
problem, is it is sparsely commented and understanding the code is, hence
tough. I need a documentation of the code that explains how the control
flows, how the functions work etc.

Can anyone direct me to the same? Or if someone has it, can you forward me
the same to sanjeevmk4890 at gmail.com.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation.
