Q about log file

Hi! I see minicom isn't do a log file. First  i didn't change defoult setings and check dir /var/log/minicom.log - file not exist. Next i change "Catalog and files" - F - A and write "/var/log/minicom.log" but i didn't help. The file doesn't creat.
I use Ubuntu Ubuntu 16.04.7 but on other version was the same.
My config file
cat /etc/minicom/minirc.dfl

pu port             /dev/ttyS1
pu baudrate         9600
pu logfname         /var/log/minicom.log
