quick answer lies in:

if you check -- fslview is not available since it depends on
libvtk5.4-qt3 and since qt3 was deprecated and vtk bindings were removed
from the archive -- not installable any more.  Qt4 upstream port
of fslview is "in works" but haven't come to existence yet.

you could try doing evil and installing fslview and libvtk5.4-qt3 from
previous release (nutty) but I am not sure if that would actually lead
to something but chaos ;)

I guess we would need to relax dependency on fslview and make it
recommended not strictly required... stay tuned to twitter announcements
