[Nut-upsdev] [nut-commits] svn commit r1049 - in trunk: .

People who contribute a driver to NUT implicitly do so under the terms
of the GPL. They certainly have the right to include a copyright
notice. The license itself (unlike the BSD license) does not prohibit
the removal of copyright notices, but it suggests that an "appropriate
copyright notice" be included.

Nonwithstanding, I'd rather not remove other people's copyright
notices without their permission. If email addresses are outdated or
authors no longer reply to email, it is probably appropriate to update
or remove the email addresses.

If we decide that, as a matter of policy, banner messages should not
carry copyright notices, then we should add proper --help, --version,
and --license options that carry that information.
