[Nut-upsdev] energizerups == megatec_usb -x subdriver=agiler?

I don't really have any "contacts", unless you mean people who e-mailed me
in the past about the driver. I could probably dig up their e-mail addresses
(if they are still valid, that is) but I don't think it'd be appropriate for
me to e-mail them with such a request. Nor do I feel particularly keen to
organize a test effort.

OK, what I mean is that I understand the reasons for what you are trying to
do and appreciate the intent, but, well, let me put it this way: when I
offered the energizerups driver, it was in the hope that others might find
it useful, not because I needed extra homework above and beyond supporting
the code that I wrote :-)

To me, the important thing is that the driver works reliably on a production
server. If it is important to someone else to clean up the code tree and
remove a redundant driver, I'll let that someone else worry about that
problem, not because I don't consider it a worthy goal (indeed, I'll gladly
and shamelessly benefit from the result as a user), simply because it is not
something that's on my own list of priorities. I hope you will forgive my
bluntness on this.

Hi Viktor,

thanks for your answer.

can you forward the test request to your various contact?
one may have time, available unit and motivation to do so.
as a side note, the removal of energizerups to the profit of
megatec_usb would help us in cleaning the tree and deps, along with
adding a maintainer redundancy. And these points are parts of our
Quality Assurance effort underway...

Arjen: you should so also call for test on upsuser, mentioning the old
and new style things to try to get more info...
