Looking at your previous post, I don't think this is the root of the  
problem. The libusb return codes aren't being handled properly by the  
driver. Other than that, I'm not OK with removing these delays. The  
megatec driver is supporting loads of devices, for some of which this  
delay may actually be needed. I'm not sure if the only reason to add  
this delay was for keeping the strace output readable.
