I agree that this information is useful, but I don't think we're ready
to add this. There is some cleanup that needs to be done first:
namely, cmdvartab still only lists the ups.* names (no mention of
device.*), and we are spread fairly thin on documentation updates.

Can we just #ifdef that variable out for now, and add it in once the
AsciiDoc branch has been merged (assuming we reach consensus)?
