My guess is that when you figure out what is wrong, you will know
why, and until then, it will be a mystery.

By your logic, there is a problem with your new router model, not with
NUT.  This could be for example in the USB subsystem.

It is probably a package version from the distributio you are running.
That means it perhaps has some modifications from what is in the actual
release.

Thanks for explaining.

The purpose of nut-upsdev is for disscussion among those who are working
on improving the code.  It is not a way for people (that aren't trying
to read and fix the code) to ask people who work on the code questions.
Your problem is appropriate for users.

I would also suggest that your problem is appropriate for the
manufacturer of your router, given that the same code works on an older
model.  And, if you got openwrt directly, rather than from the
manufacturer, perhaps appropriate for openwrt.
