ok try with the right path:

backup:~ # export ACTION=add && export TYPE=USB && export
DEVICE=/proc/bus/usb/002/002 && /etc/hotplug/usb/libhidups
no output !?

I wait more than 10 sec. but still the same

backup:~ # /etc/init.d/hotplug status
-bash: /etc/init.d/hotplug: No such file or directory

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root   481 Jul  1 14:11 libhidups

Jul 27 10:56:02 backup kernel: usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2
Jul 27 10:56:08 backup kernel: ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.3: wakeup
Jul 27 10:56:09 backup kernel: usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using
ohci_hcd and address 3
Jul 27 10:56:10 backup kernel: usbhid: probe of 2-1:1.0 failed with
error-5

Very strange that there is no /etc/init.d/hotplug
Maybe my mistake?

Hope you see the failure
