I don't recall where I've stopped on the newmge-shut front.
IIRC, the get was working (so standard operations), but not the set
(can't use upsrw, nor ups.conf settings and the like)

the old PSP (the one above) has a known loss of communication at
startup. It shouldn't occur afterward.

another good test would be the windows PSP

it's possible that the communication part of hardware is faulty. but
I'm still unsure. The windows PSP test would be a good one, since the
mge-shut driver is still too verbose, and tends to spam the hardware
(a point that has been improved in newhidups).

Depending on that, we'll follow with the support service.

Lastly, I'll sadly have another unplanned event (my grand father is
dying from a cancer...) and will be back on tuesday...
