[Nut-upsuser] Poweraware 5115, ttyS0, Ubuntu 6.06.1

Hi all,

I know there are some howto's about Powerware 5115 and Ubuntu, but I can't
still get that thing working.

Can someone give some light...

1. Powerware 5115, serial port (ttyS0)

2. Ubuntu 6.06.1 as LTSP-server

a. I try to start driver as root.

root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri# upsdrvctl -u root start

b. I try to start upsd as root.

/etc/nut/upsd.conf is world readable
Can't connect to UPS [powerware] (bcmxcp-ttyS0): Permission denied
/etc/nut/upsd.users is world readable
Synchronizing........ giving up

c. I got user monuser in group dialout (ttyS0)

root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri# ls -al /dev/ttyS0
crw-rw---- 1 root dialout 4, 64 2007-09-21 10:43 /dev/ttyS0
root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri#

root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri# cat /etc/group | grep nut
nut:x:115:monuser
root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri#

root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri# cat /etc/group | grep dialout
dialout:x:20:[removed],monuser
root at kirkonmaki:/home/juuri#

a. ups.conf

[powerware]

port = /dev/ttyS0

b. upsd.conf

ACL all 0.0.0.0/0
ACL localhost 127.0.0.1/32

ACCEPT localhost
REJECT all

c. upsd.users

[monuser]
password  = usermon
allowfrom = localhost
upsmon master

d. upsmon.conf

[clip]
MONITOR powerware at localhost 1 monuser usermon master
SHUTDOWNCMD "/sbin/shutdown -h +0"
