I had always unplug the UPS power cord, but without delay

Now all my config are ok

I have another question

I would want to empty my battery without stop the server

is it possible ?

best regards

 Hello

I'm back with another problem

I made a lot of tests with my ups MGE

I worked on my script upssched-cmd
and i stopped several times my ups
etc etc ....

Suddenly my UPS wasn't be detected by my server
I tried restore my system
I tried modify files

without success

my UPS isn't detected by my serveur
When I enter this command
lsusb
I have had no more this
bus001 device 002 : ID 0463:ffff MGE UPS System UPS

I have
bus001 device 001 : ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foudation 1.1 root hub

When I trie to start driver I have
root at nut:~# upsdrvctl start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.3
Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.34 (2.4.3)
USB communication driver 0.31
No matching HID UPS found
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)

When I use dmesg command I have this
[ 320.336334] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2
[ 366.676076] usb 1-2: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address

[ 368.736321] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2

I'm worried because I tried to connect ups on another PC
I have the same problem

I try a usb key
lsusb is

Bus 001 Device 018: ID 05dc:a701 Lexar Media, Inc. JumpDrive FireFly
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Is it possible my usb port is HS on my UPS

What can I do

try a hard reset:
- poweroff the UPS (and the loads!)
- unplug the UPS power cord,
- wait ~10 seconds,
- restart everything.

cheers,
Arnaud
