OB = On Battery

Remove the 'vendorid' line. It isn't needed.

That's what 'ups.status' is telling too, so I'm not surprised about  
that. Are you absolutely sure you plugged the device in a live outlet?  
If you are, running

     /path/to/usbhid-ups -DDD -a upsname

might give us something to work with. Make sure you stop all drivers  
before running this.
