hiddev* and hidraw* are red herrings - the NUT drivers use  
libusb-0.1.x, which uses /dev/bus/usb/*/* instead. Once the NUT driver  
tells the kernel that it wants exclusive access to the HID interface,  
those device nodes should go away.
