Reading that now, I see I didn't make a whole lot of sense, sorry about
that.
On Windows 7 x64 (I haven't tested XP), upsdrvctl shutdown doesn't
appear to get called during automatic OS shutdown by NUT. I used upsmon
-c fsd to test. upsdrvctrl shutdown works if I run it manually.
I could probably configure an instant command to send shutdown.reboot
just before shutting down the OS. My test UPS only provides 1min
(non-adjustable) which isn't always enough time for Windows (XP
especially), so this hack is not ideal.

This is directed to anyone on the list who might know. I'm deciding if I
want to switch to low battery shutdown as NUT seems to prefer that
method. I've typically just used a 2min timer for desktops. Also, with
the way NUT works on Windows right now, the UPS will drain itself even
more because it doesn't shut off.
Thanks!
