Your guide is already my go-to source, especially since openSUSE 13.1 is our currently supported system (though I'm doing this testing on Porteus due to its file system resilience). It's AWESOME, btw. Very helpful.
I'll spend some time tomorrow going through chapter 6 and trying again.
