Bad sent syncing

The recent version has a readonly=true setting for repositories that
enables 1-way syncing (not modifying the IMAP server at all).
But it's not clear at all to me what's going wrong there. You put your
outgoing mails into the INBOX on the local side. Offlineimap will
obviously sync those to the remote INBOX, after all it is an email
syncer.
What's with the duplicate? Do you sent yourself a BCC copy? Are you
included in the recipient list (of e.g. a mailing list)? In this case,
you should be seeing emails twice in your inbox.
Are the duplicated emails different in any way? E.g. different headers?
Could you diff 2 of those duplicates?
can you provide a sync log where a duplicate mail is being generated so
we can see what actually happens?
