Looks good to me, thanks. In case Nicolas wants this and wants this for
this cycle, may I propose to do this in 2 steps?
We could merge patches 1-5, which as far as I can see would be the drop
in replacement of imaplib with imaplib2. I have looked at these patches
and they seem fine to me. This we could give some testing and see if it
works out and if there are serious problems with it (after all imaplib2
has a different threading model and stuff). If we believe that things
are OK, we merge in the rest, which provides the actual IDLE
functionality. Ethan, did I get this right? And do you agree this would
be a good approach? Or should we take the whole shebang and deal with
any fallout as it occurs?
Personally, I still think we should spin a 6.3.3 before merging this, so
that we get all the goodness we have so far into the distros, but I
don't feel very strongly about it.
