how to break out of a hung offlineimap 6.3.3

Sebastian, Nicolas,

6.3.3 is currently hung on a particular message for 10+ minutes.  It was copying messages down from remote imap to local imap.


I tried Ctrl+C , then Ctrl+Break .  The script is still hanging.  


You mentioned something about a futex possibly causing a hang.  


This is a production server running on debian lenny.


Any suggestion how to break the script?

And why is it hanging?  


How to troubleshoot this hang?
