v6.5.1.2 -> v6.5.5-rc2 issues

I upgraded v6.5.1.2 -> v6.5.5-rc2 yesterday.

On one occasion OLI used 100% CPU, on another it used 3GB RAM (>80%), in
both case the laptop's usability was noticeably affected.  I had no such
issues before the upgrade.

Python 2.7.2, OpenSUSE 12.1, blinkenlights.

Let me know if I could provide any more information --- I'm just firing
this off now to let people know, I might have missed some details.
